Films: Rabid Grannies (1988)
Alias: Helen and Suzie
Type: Mystical
Location: Haunted home
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: Elderly members of your family aren't boring. If you're that terrified of having to listen to their stories and give them company, that's too bad for you. But if something like this happens, your fear will be justified for once.
History: Two kindly aunts, Helen and Suzie, were having their birthday, and they invited their whole family over. Only problems are that most of them want them dead for the inheritance, and one member is a Satanist who gives them a demonic box as a gift. Naturally, the box transforms the aunts into murderous demons.
Notable Kills: One guy gets amputated and hit in the groin with a knight's halberd before being flung off the upper floor.
Final Fate: After the box is destroyed, the possessed folks deteriorate and die. However, if the last scene is any indication, the evil is possessing others...
Powers/Abilities: Can control other objects with their minds, as well as use other demonic magic acts.
Weakness: Destroying the artifact will force the demons to seek other bodies.
Scariness Factor: 3-Most of the time, the possessed look like standard hags. But then there are those moments when they show those teeth and kill people in horrid ways. It doesn't help that they can be extremely condescending to their would-be victims.
Trivia: -Many of the cast members were French, and had troubles reading the English script.
-For some reason, this film is considered one of Troma's most infamous for its gore. As if most of the rest of their library totally isn't practically painted with human entrails.
